"SHE KILLED. TAKE. AFTER TAKE."
"She is a TSUNAMI of creative genius!"
"...I LAUGHED SO HARD! There is nobody like her! The great Kat Higgins!"
"I LOVE KAT! She works like a REAL team player."
Kat brings a refreshing presence to the stage and screen. With a quirky energy, kid like charm and love for characters; this “fish out of water” spirit will remind you what’s funny about life… especially if you have a Mom.
Selected among thousands for the CBS comedy showcase, you may recognize her from a comedy club or from the movie Dough Boys or The 20 Year Old Vegan or from a commercial for Geico, Old Navy, EXPO markers, FloTV, COX Cable, Liberty Bank… (the list continues but she told me to be humble). On the web she’s featured in Ashton Kutcher’s webseries Katalyst HQ and created BiRacial Twins with Napoleon Dynamite producer Jory Weitz for Funny or Die. She was recently interviewed as an emerging comedian for a documentary about Gilda Radner LOVE GILDA. Is currently in rehearsals for a comedic play The Waiting Room written by Stand Up NY’s owner Gabe Waldman. And most recently booked a spot for Dasani & Cascade. She is also developing a podcast with her Mom called Me & My Martyr Mom.
She credits Groundlings for growing her joy to craft characters, Upright Citizens Brigade for seeing the funny in the simple and her life’s traumas for building her comedy act. Kat is also grateful for her smorgasbord of acting techniques she developed from studying with nearly every acting school or coach that has crossed her path: Tufts University, NYSSA Theater School, The British American Drama Academy, The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, The Michael Howard Studio, Anthony Abeson, Harold Guskin, Austin Pendleton, Lesly Kahn, Bob Krakower…
